How do I keep raccoons out of sweet corn?
A Gallagher Food Plot Protector Fence using 7 simple components to construct any size and any shaped food plot for ¼ the cost of a high fence.  It's portable and reusable for years.  You can print of a list of materials for a 1 to 15 plot area from our website.

Deer, elk and antelope tear up barbed and net wire fences. Why should I consider a power fence?
Deer, elk and antelope will always win the battle with a traditional fence – it's a  physical barrier that doesn't match the strength of the wildlife involved. The proper  design and post spacing of a power fence allows for a "flexible" fence, which can take  the abuse of the wildlife yet remain intact and control livestock.

How does a food plot electric fence work?
Our food plot fence is a two stage multi-wire fence that creates a depth perception  problem for deer. As research shows deer can either jump high or far and the  configuration of the fence deters them.

Will a Gallagher Food Plot Protector Fence keep raccoons out of sweet corn?
Yes, and our website provides a Materials List and diagrams to construct the fence  the size you need for the acreage to be protected.

When is the best time to install my food plot fence?
The fence should be installed and operable before the crop breaks surface. Deer are  creatures of habit, and deterring deer from an established feed area can be  challenging.

When should I remove my food plot fence?
The fence should be removed after germination of crop, a good rule of thumb is  ankle to calf high.  The fence can also be moved in at intervals to allow animals  access to field while keeping some safely in reserve.  The important thing to  remember is when the fence is up it should always be energized, do not let the  animals get accustomed to an unenergized fence.

What are the advantages of a feeder protector fence?
There are many advantages, to name a few, less expensive than panels, portability,  and the only fence system to not only repel cattle but also hogs and raccoons.

How big does my feeder protector fence need to be?
Configuration is not important but size is.  The fence should be installed 100’x100’,  the reason is we need the deer to feel comfortable in the pen and not confined.  Also  we do not want a spin cast feeder to throw the corn too close to the fence.  The  upsides of this are when your dominant deer enter the pen they will not scare off the  lesser dominant animals and still allow them access to feed.
